Permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattoo. Extremely small amount of pigment is placed in the dermal layer of the skin. The result is natural look that lasts for years.
Topical anesthetic creams/liquids are used to minimize discomfort.
There is a wide spectrum of colors to choose from, it’s helpful to bring in any makeup pencils you use for color comparison. Also coming in the day of your procedure with your liner or brows designed the way you like them is very helpful.
There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly, usually a few days. Icing will help. You may resume normal activities immediately after procedure. If you wear contacts, please bring glasses to wear after having eyeliner done. Complete healing takes one to six weeks while pigment matures and reaches its final color.
The treated area will look darker than desired color but will fade 20/30% in about 4 days to two weeks as it heals.
Permanent makeup works to enhance your natural beauty so you look good all the time. It is applied in the skin so you can always apply conventional makeup on the skin to create your desired look.
The initial procedure will generally take approximately 1 to 2 ½ hours. Touch up procedures usually do not require as much time.
Generally, there is some swelling of the treated area. During the procedure there may be some bleeding and or bruising. There is usually some tenderness for a few days. The color is much darker than you may expect for the first six to ten days.
A touch-up is a color re-enhancement. Almost always the implanted color is not perfect after the first procedure. These procedures are processes and at least one follow-up to the initial procedure should be scheduled. Six weeks is better but of course, your individual needs take precedence.
Yes. To maintain the shape of the tattoo, we recommend tweezing, threading, or getting electrolysis to remove any hairs that grow outside of your tattoo pattern. We do not advise waxing.
We only use pigments specially formulated for the face. Our pigments are of the highest grade and quality and are strictly tested and regulated.
All tattoos are permanent, since something is being implanted into the skin. Even with removal, there will always be traces of pigment left behind.
Even though we call a tattoo permanent, the color will fade naturally over time and you will need to have the color touched up. The time it takes to fade depends on the client's skin, health, lifestyle and tattoo maintenance. Generally, this is between one and five years depending on procedure.
The following timeframes are typically recommended for touch ups:
The average time for a permanent makeup procedure is 2 – 2.5 hours. Before application, the client will undergo a consultation which includes discussion of medical history, lifestyle, personality, design, color, and any questions or concerns. After a topical numbing agent has been applied, the design will be drawn on for review. Tattooing itself takes between 30 and 90 minutes depending on tissue response.
Yes! Permanent cosmetics are beneficial for all skin types and ages.
The only restriction by law is that you must be 18 years of age. We have found this treatment particularly beneficial for seniors who have lost the dexterity and steadiness needed to apply makeup. We want everyone to feel beautiful!
No, the hair is left in place. Any excess hair that is outside of the new design pattern will be removed as desired.
3D Permanent Hair stroke Brows are meant to look as real as possible. Each individual stroke resembles an eyebrow hair, so the result is a realistic permanent brow.
We do our best to keep you comfortable and relaxed with a gentle touch and topical numbing agents. The majority of our clients are pleasantly surprised by the pain level experienced, and many consider it less painful than a regular tattoo since there are less needles involved, and a numbing agent is applied.
Yes, there can be some medical issues that may prevent us from working on you.
